where they are due

the content

  • No one but me, myself, and I, a humble islander. Every word you see was carelessly crafted by yours truly.

design and code help

That being said, I am also a lazy islander. I take pride in writing my own code (professionally, at least). And though it goes against everything I pretend to stand for, I simply did not want to spend hours figuring out nitty gritty CSS stuff like CRT TV effects that I'm never going to use again. I will catch some haters for this and I applaud them, for they are better than me.

  • Claude, by Anthropic
    • utilized for fleshing out the CSS, advising on certain layout aspects, and for building out an admin tool for quick upload access.
    • note: they get some credit, not an endorsement- AI is going to end our society in one way or another (if something else doesn't quicker).

typefaces

These four lovely fonts are all open-licensed (SIL OFL 1.1), and self-hosted via Fontsource.

inspiration and thanks

  • a whole host of indie websites which you can find attached somewhere around here (soon I promise)
  • the theming and general vibe is inspired by the movie I Saw The TV Glow by Jane Schoenbrun (I highly recommend it)
  • Miracle Musical, for my shameless rip of their song, Isle Unto Thyself (I'm not clever) ((I also highly recommend the song))
